FNDC 2012: Home Sweet Home

SDS was more than proud to participate in the 2012 Florida National Dental Conference (June 13-15, 2012). There’s nothing like being at home with local doctors, hygienists, and staff.  Our booth was equipped with the Palm Beach Left/Right Package in the Sassy Ultraleather Yellow and the Biscayne E.L. Hygiene Package in our standard Cobalt.  Doctors and dealers enjoyed the opportunity to meet our staff and see our equipment in person. Doctors also enjoyed our hot FNDC show and summer specials. If you’re going to ADA Annual Session in sunny San Francisco, CA in October be sure to stop by our booth (#326) to speak to our team members to learn about our equipment and how we can close deals with our ADA Meeting specials.

CDA Presents 2012: SDS on the West Coast

The 2012 CDA Presents in Anaheim, CA (May 3-5, 2012) was another successful meeting for SDS! Besides enjoying the beautiful Cali weather and amazing West Coast cuisine, the SDS sales team was delighted to meet new doctors and dealers as well getting reacquainted with some familiar faces. Our booth was equipped with the Palm Beach Left/Right Package in the sassy Sassy Ultraleather Yellow (the bright yellow chair you could see a mile away? Yep, that was us), the Daytona Post Mounted Package in the sleek Raven Wing Ultralether Black, and the Biscayne E.L. Hygiene Package in our standard Cobalt (the color may have been a little boring but the pricing certainly wasn’t!).

Rain or Schein – Henry Schein Visits SDS!

Summit Dental Systems extended an invitation to members of Henry Schein Dental’s sales force from Chicago, IL and Cincinnati, OH to spend a few days in South Florida at the SDS Headquarters in Fort Lauderdale from April 12-13, 2012.  Despite the stormy weather, the salesmen were greeted with sunny attitudes from the SDS staff, showcasing how they can help generate many new sales opportunities in their area.  A key focus of the meeting was to have the salesmen familiarize themselves with our operatory line of equipment.  SDS is often associated with its orthodontic line but our operatory line exudes the same outstanding quality, craftsmanship, and price point that our orthodontic equipment is well-known for.  

Hinman Meeting 2012: Celebrating 100 Years

At the 2012 Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta, GA (March 22-24, 2012), Summit Dental Systems brought the heat to Hotlanta, showcasing both our Newport Left/Right Swing package and Biscayne E.L. Hygiene package to a burgeoning crowd of dealers, doctors, hygienists, and more.  Our Zipclave sterilizer was on display as well, putting on a show for anyone and everyone curious about one of the fastest sterilizers on the market today.  Coming off a successful Chicago Midwinter Meeting, the Hinman was another chance for doctors and dealers alike to see the quality and craftsmanship put into our equipment.

Chicago Midwinter 2012: SDS & All That Jazz

Exhibiting at this year’s Chicago Midwinter Meeting (February 23-25, 2012) was a monumental success for Summit Dental Systems.  While creating new relationships with doctors and dealers across the globe, we also strengthened previous ones with demonstrations of our dental operatory line and Zipclave sterilizer.  People that stopped by our booth were given an extensive overview of the operatory packages we had on display, as well as the Zipclave sterilizer, by our chief technician Will Pettis and sales associates Matthew Hittel and Isabelle De Lima.

SDS Technical Visit to Connecticut

On February 16-17, 2012 our chief technician, Will Pettis, ventured out of South Florida for a visit to the state of Connecticut to meet with some of our dealers and provide training for their service technicians.  Over the course of his stay Will, joined by our territory rep Paul Snell, conducted thorough installation training as well as training on the Zipclave sterilizer at Dart Dental (in Hartford, CT), Patterson Dental (in Rocky Hill, CT), and Henry Schein Dental (in Wallingford, CT). 

At Dart Dental, Will met with the founder Art Stengel, equipment specialist Bob Schaefer, and several of their technicians.  At Patterson Dental, Will met with the branch manager Mike Baker, service manager Don Annino, and equipment specialists Mark Planckon and Kevin McGonigal. At Henry Schein Dental, Will met with the branch manager Steve Hoyt and equipment specialists Ron Stan, Bill Finkel, and Chris Anderson.  At their respective showrooms, Will was able to go over technical and sales training for the Zipclave sterilizer, as well as operatory package installation training for Dart Dental.  Having our chief technician at their facilities to answer questions on our Zipclave was a great learning experience for them as well as a wonderful opportunity for us to show them our company’s capabilities and the quality of our equipment.

Successful meetings and visits such as this provide our dealer network with a better understanding of who SDS is, what our product is like, and how we can continue to strengthen our business relationship together.  We appreciate the time Dart Dental, Patterson Dental, and Henry Schein allocated for this meeting and look forward to a long, healthy relationship with our dealers in Connecticut.

Fun in the Sun with Atlanta Dental

Summit Dental Systems extended an invitation to members of Atlanta Dental’s sales force to spend a few days in sunny South Florida at the SDS Headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL from January 26-28, 2012.  The salesmen were able to obtain hands-on experience with all SDS equipment and get personally acquainted with the SDS staff and how they can help generate many new sales opportunities in their area.  A key focus of the meeting was to have the salesmen familiarize themselves with the newly introduced Zipclave steam sterilizer—one of the fastest full-size semi-automatic autoclaves on the market today. 

 

SDS Technical Visit to Patterson Dental, Boothwyn, PA

Here at SDS our technical department works hand in hand with the equipment technicians of our authorized dealer network—whether they’re on the phone with a tech who’s out in the field or having local techs visit our showroom for some hands-on training, our technicians strive to make the work for our dealers’ equipment techs as smooth and painless as possible.  From January 17 to the 19th, our head technician, Will Pettis, visited the Patterson Dental branch in Boothwyn, PA to give a technical training seminar on our equipment line.  Joined by our territory rep Leon Rapport, Will was able to meet with the branch’s store manager, Jeff Drugoth, operations manager, Albert Kendle, and their entire team of skilled technicians.  

We took this opportunity to detail the installation procedures, discuss troubleshooting, showcase improvements made to our product, and to answer any questions the field technicians may have had about our equipment.  This meeting also coincided with the installation of one of our Daytona operatory packages on their showroom floor.  This gave us the opportunity to have the equipment technicians have hands-on training with our equipment under the guidance of our head technician.         

Successful meetings and visits such as this provide our dealer network with a better understanding of who SDS is, what our product is like, and how we can continue to strengthen our business relationship together.  We appreciate the time Patterson Dental allocated for this meeting and look forward to a long, healthy relationship with their branch in Boothwyn.
